For the first time in their history, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) won the Indian Premier League (IPL) championship by beating Punjab Kings by just six runs in this year’s final held in Ahmedabad on June 3, 2025.

CRC put up a score of 190/9 in the first innings, with Virat Kohli hitting 43 runs in 35 balls. Punjab Kings did their best by making 184/7, but RCB’s bowlers defended well throughout. Hazlewood sealed the game with a crucial last over and Paridya’s spell which included two wickets and 12 dot balls, played a key role in winning the game.
