Launch Details

The rocket and capsule have been scheduled to leave Kennedy Space Center on June 11, 2025, taking off at 8:22 a.m. EDT (June 10 in India) on a Falcon 9 of SpaceX.

Multi-National Crew

She will be in the Kometa-Soyuz MS-19 flight, along with Peggy Whitson (commander), Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski (Poland, ESA), and Tibor Kapu (Hungary)

Here are both the Scientific Objectives and the Operational Objectives.

Length of Study & Methods Used

Scientists on board the ISS are expected to live there for about two weeks and will run some 60 scientific experiments, six of which are Indian. They comprise studies about muscle tissues recovering, using microalgae as food in space, sprouts and moong beans, survival of tardigrades, and the effect of microgravity on human-technology communication

Biomedical Focus

The purpose of NASA‑ISRO experiments is to look into life sciences in space and strengthen India’s expertise in spacecraft biology and life support as a preparation for Gaganyaan mission.

Career and Background

The future pilot joined the Navy in 2019 and graduated from the Indian Air Force Academy in January 2020. Due to more than 2,000 hours flying aircraft including Su‑30 MKI and MiG‑21, he achieved the rank of Group Captain in March 2024 and was chosen to be part of India’s Gaganyaan astronauts in 2019

Training Regimen

In his training, Shukla travelled to the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Center in Russia, the ISRO grounds in Bengaluru, and to various centers in Europe, the US, and Japan affiliated with NASA, ESA, and JAXA. He practiced emergency situations and use of the Crew Dragon during his careful preparation.

Looking at and representing the world through photography

Calling the mission the “cause of 1.4 billion people,” Shukla wants to encourage a new group of scientific and adventurous minds. He will bring traditional Indian items and do yoga while on the ISS to show his country’s pride

Timetable & Steps to Take

The importance of and collaboration between nations is increased by issues like these.

India’s participation in the mission means it will stand with the US, Russia, China, and various countries in the human spaceflight world. This will help India’s space industry work with the private sector, adding new skills to the upcoming Gaganyaan mission and raising the country’s position globally.

All in all, there are many reasons why we care for pets.

This mission is historic for India and reflects our country’s wider goals in this field. With NASA, ISRO, and the help of other nations, this mission drives forward new science and encourages aspirations among people in India.
